Day 398: When You Stop Changing

Day 398: When You Stop Changing

When you stop changing, it’s time to ask yourself: Why? Is it because you’re afraid, unsure, or anxious? When we go about our day, and get lost in the shuffle of our daily events, it’s sometimes difficult to make time to reflect on who we are.

As I write this, the United States has just passed 18,000,000 cases of the coronavirus. Christmas is only days away and public health experts are urging people not to see relatives for the holidays. My family and I are locked down in our house. My kids are attending school virtually, and my wife and I are working remotely. Our days are filled with routines that are repeated day after day.

Day 319: Change Is Inevitiable

Day 319: Change Is Inevitiable

The more we resist change, the harder we’re making our lives. No matter what we do, change will continue to take place. The challenge is that it’s easier for us to stick with what we know. The pain we know is easier to handle than the unknown. People are generally afraid of the unknown and change.

How we handle change and respond to it will make all the difference.

Day 297: Accept the Change

Day 297: Accept the Change

One day, maybe it was today, you’ll wake up and realize that you are changing. Each of us is changing every single day, but there are times in life in which the change is accelerated, more mutable and visible. And beneath the surface, the metamorphosis is altering who you are.

Change can be scary and unknown and a world beyond what you could ever imagine possible.
