S.M. Reine contacted me a while back and asked if I would contribute a short story to an end of the world anthology. I thought about it for half a second and then sent her my story "Such Sinners We Are." Now it's months later and I'm happy to say that END: An Apocalyptic Anthology is for sale. What's different about this book is that all proceeds from sales benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which ensures children with cancer and other catastrophic illnesses can get treated regardless of their ability to pay. How cool is that?
So what are the stories about? END features six stories about the end of the world from indie publishing's rising stars. The Mayan Calendar ends on December 21st, 2012, and some people believe that heralds apocalypse. What better way to go out than with a collection of shocking, thrilling, and sexy stories? So please go check it out and purchase a copy of END to help support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. You'll not only be helping children in need but you'll be supporting six indie authors. Thank you!
The 12 Days of Christmas Indie Book Collective Blowout
The holidays are here and what better way to celebrate than giving back to others? When the Indie Book Collective announced their "12 Days of Christmas Blowout," I jumped at the opportunity to participate. I wanted to celebrate this joyous time of the year by giving back to readers and to all those who helped support the launch of my book Cinderella's Secret Diary.
So from December 12 - 24, my novel is on sale for $.99 in the Amazon Kindle store. Now for less than a dollar, you can pick up my book and see what all the great reviews are about!
What's the book deal with? Here's a short blurb:
What happened to Cinderella after she married the Prince? Set in the late 1700s as Napoleon is rising to power, Cinderella embarks on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to come to terms with her failed marriage and her inability to have a child. Torn between the Queen's insistence that she try all means necessary to conceive and her own desires, she agrees to travel to Paris to consult with a witch to help her become pregnant. Her journey leads her to find her long lost Fairy Godmother and aids her to solve the mystery behind her mother's death. Yet the Fey Lord, the Silver Fox, also takes notice in her and her world is suddenly turned upside down...
Sounds cool, huh? Whatever did happen after "they lived happily ever after"? Now you can find out! And from the reviewer comments on Amazon, from Jessica at From Me to You... Video, Photography & Book Reviews and book reviewer Tania Collins, both reviewers and readers are digging the book. This is definitely not the Disney version of Cinderella!
So head on other to Amazon and download your copy for $.99 before the "12 Days of Christmas" promotion is over. And if you're a Nook owner, fret not: I've included the $.99 sale of my book to include the Nook version of Cinderella's Secret Diary as well. And, remember, the great folks at the Indie Book Collective are giving away a Kindle when you sign up for their newsletter as part of this promotion. Go sign up!
To all who have helped and supported me during this hectic year, I would like to wish each and every one of you happy holidays. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
