I'm a big fan of the Filmspotting.net podcast. One of my loves is movies: Watching them, listening to soundtracks, the experience of watching them with friends, family--I just love movies. One of my coworkers once said to me many years ago, "How can you go see an art house film one week and then the remake of Godzilla the next?" That about sums up my tastes: I really don't like to be pegged into liking only one type of film. With that said, I've been listening to Filmspotting.net (back when it was "Cinecast") for a good while now and on their podcasts they have a small segment entitled "Massacre Theatre." Basically, they act out a scene from a movie and if you know what movie it is, you send them an email and can win a prize if you're right and your name is picked out of a hat. It's great fun.
A listener of the podcast has put together two remixes of their Massacre Theatres but taking footage from the actual movies and putting their voices to it. It's really damn funny. Check it out below. And if you love movies, be sure to check out the Filmspotting.net podcast!
Happy Friday
I was doing a search on YouTube last night and although I couldn't find the Rocky Wii video that Father Roderick was talking about on the Daily Breakfast podcast, somehow I found Brookers' "#1 Numa Fan" video. Take a peek below. It's crazy, but there's an energy in her video that just brings me back to a time when I was young and you did goofy things just because you could. With today being a Friday, why don't we all kick back and have some fun? Enjoy!
Update: Thanks to Rob, here's also the Rocky Wii video I was looking for. Have a great weekend!
Original movie for Friday:
