Trout Fishing in America

Tonight my wife and I took my son to see  Trout Fishing in America at Longwood Gardens earlier this evening.  We had seen Trout Fishing in America there last year and had a great time. This year the weather was cooler, less humid, and we had a great time at the concert. Afterwards we went to the children's garden, hung out inside, and stuck around to see the fountain show at 9:15 p.m.  The light show looked amazing and although it was near 9:30 p.m. byh the time we left the gardens (our son was ready to fall asleep), we did have a great time.

One of my favorite songs by Trout Fishing in America is the song "My World."  If you're not into kid's music, then their music might not be for you, but I think that it's really funny and joyful to see parents up, dancing with their children, singing along to the songs.  You can't beat it!

It's late, I'm tired, and sleep beckons.  Have a great weekend.  Peace (Let there be peace in the middle east.  Israel's attacking Lebannon is scary.  Don't we have enough problems in the world?)  Good night!   

Oh My!

Have I forgotten my blog? No, I haven't. I've been busy. I received a writing assignment from an editor and I'm trying to see if I can pull off that piece before my deadline next week. It's an interesting article but a bit of a challenge. I'm worried about meeting the deadline, but if I can't hook up with the person I need to interview, then there isn't much I can about it.

I am also working on my second freelance article that I hope to be able to talk about in the next few weeks. I'm rather excited about this freelance work and am looking forward to sharing it with you. I'm plugging away at it!

And I've not much else to talk about as I want to get back to watching Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks. Thank you Netflix! To treat myself and have some downtime this week, I put the Genesis of the Daleks episode into my queue. I haven't seen those Doctor Who episodes since 1985. Wow, talk about time travel. The episode had been filmed in 1974 and it's campy as all heck, but it's bringing back cool memories from my past. If you'd like to see some of my Doctor Who memorabilia, click here. Have fun!
