Friday night I attended Wizard World and was able to make contact with an editor of a magazine there. He recognized me, informing me that he had sent my name over to the Magic team and that they would be contacting me if work was needed in the near future. Although it wasn't a very successful meeting, at least I did make face to face contact and got to introduce myself to him.
I went back, by myself, to Wizard World Philadelphia on Saturday and it was a zoo. I couldn't believe how crowded it was (add to the fact that it was rainy that day). So imagine a lot of sweaty people walking through rows upon rows of dealers. I didn't have a great time because it was so crowded and I had hoped to learn how to play the Dreamblade mini game. But the crowd around the table was so insane and the music so loud from the Spike TV booth, that I don't think I would have been able to learn the game even if I tried.
A foreshadowing of something to come. Read the first paragraphs of this article: Mark Rosewater's question.
I had to laugh when I read this. It's a small, small world. All will make sense later.
Peace out!
